Tech company Meta has introduced new parental control features for Facebook, Messenger and Instagram. With the help of these new features, parents will be able to keep an eye on every activity of their children. Additionally, parents will get access to special tools in Messenger that will let them know who their child is talking to on the platform. Along with this, children will also get reminders to take breaks from time to time.
New feature in messenger
Meta said that Parental Supervision controls have been added to Messenger. With the help of this, parents will be able to see who is added to their children’s contact list. Apart from this, they will also be able to see how much time their kids have spent on the platform. Also, parents will also know who has messaged their kids.
These tools are currently being rolled out for users in the US, UK and Canada. Soon this function will be released for users around the world.
Notification will be received on Facebook
Teenagers will now get a notification after 20 minutes on Facebook asking them to take a break from the platform. This feature has also been added to Instagram. The company believes that this facility will be very useful for parents.
This change happened in Instagram
Message requests have been restricted on Instagram. User will now be able to send only one message invite on the platform and will not be able to send another invite until the other user accepts that invite.
The company said that we have limited the message request invite to text only, so that users cannot send any photo, video, or audio messages, or make calls until the other user accepts the invitation for chat. Takes

Let us tell you that apart from these parental control features, the company has also rolled out Quiet Mode globally. With the help of this new feature, users will be able to silence notifications on social media platforms.
Subscription plan launched
Technology company Meta recently launched a new Quest+ subscription plan for the Quest 2 VR headset. This plan can be purchased on a monthly basis at a cost of $7 (approximately Rs.675). In this, users taking subscription will get free games and latest content.
