Twitter will now be able to post long posts like Facebook increased character limit
Twitter users will now be able to post long posts like Facebook. The company has increased the character limit of tweets to 25,000. Now users will be able to tweet up to 25,000 characters in a single tweet. Earlier only tweets could be up to 10,000 characters. However, this feature of Twitter will be available only for users with paid i.e. Twitter Blue subscription. Earlier, Twitter also allowed paid users to post 60-minute long 1080p videos, which has been increased to 2 hours last month.
Elon Musk bought Twitter in October last year, after which many new features have been added to this microblogging platform. Prachi Poddar, an executive of Twitter has shared this information in his tweet. In her tweet, Prachi has written, “We have increased the character limit for NoteTweet ie long form tweets from 10,000 to 25,000”. Users can now make longer tweets.
Character limit increased earlier also
Let us tell you that in February this year, Twitter had increased the character limit of note tweets from 4,000 to 10,000, which has now been increased to 25,000. Apart from this, the company has also added text formatting features such as bold and italic in long tweets. Users will be able to format any sentence in their tweet in bold or italic.
Twitter users were earlier able to tweet only in 140 characters, which was later increased to 280. It has now been raised to 25,000 after users continuously gave feedback to increase the character limit. Due to the new character limit, users will now be able to put long posts on this platform like Facebook. Also, users will be able to post their long videos here. Talking about Twitter’s rival microblogging platforms, you can only post 500 characters in Mastodon and 300 characters in Bluesky.
