Meta owned instant messaging app WhatsApp launched a new WhatsApp Desktop app for Windows 3 months ago. Many exclusive features were provided to the users in this app. These included the ability to make video calls with up to 8 people and audio calls with up to 32 people. However, now information about a new upgrade has been revealed in the latest report. If reports are to be believed, WhatsApp is increasing the number of members who can join video calls. Wabetainfo’s latest report informs that beta users have received a new upgrade with the WhatsApp beta for Windows 2.2324.1.0 update. With this upgrade, WhatsApp users can join video calls with up to 32 people at once. Till now the number of participants in the video call was limited to 8 only. However, this number has increased in the new beta update.
A screenshot of this new upgrade has also been shared in the report. As can be seen in the screenshot, Windows users using the WhatsApp Desktop app can now enjoy group video calls with up to 32 people.
As we said, when the new WhatsApp Desktop app for Windows was launched, at that time only 32 people could be included in the audio call. However, now this feature has come for video calls as well.
At present, this feature is available only for beta users. It can be expected that in the coming days the instant messaging app will roll out this feature to all desktop app users.
